Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 May 2020, within the framework of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States, a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth member states will be held in the form of video conferencing.
The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, will be attended by the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.
The event envisages the exchange of views on pressing issues of the international agenda and interaction in the format of the Commonwealth, discussion of the implementation of the Plan of multilevel inter-MFA consultations within the CIS for 2019 and the Plan for 2020, as well as ways to jointly counteract the spread of coronavirus.
Following the meeting, it is planned to sign a number of documents.
