Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President “On measures to support the research activities of the Institute of Nuclear Physics” was adopted.

In order to develop nuclear science and technology, radically improve the system for conducting scientific research in this direction, the resolution defines the main directions of the Institute of Nuclear Physics.

In particular, ensuring the effectiveness of the functioning of the institution of postgraduate education, training highly qualified personnel and comprehensive support for talented youth is one of the main areas of activity.

The resolution approved the Target Program for Improving the Activities of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences and the Research Program for 2020–2024.

Starting from 1 January  2020:

- financing of expenses for the remuneration of employees of the Institute, the maintenance of its buildings and structures, as well as reimbursement of current expenses are carried out at the expense of the State budget;

- carrying out fundamental research at the Institute is suspended within the framework of scientific and technical programs with the allocation of budget funds allocated to finance the costs of maintaining the Institute.
