Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 October, the Uztekstilprom Association hosted a meeting between the Chairman of the Association Ilkhom Khaydarov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Dr. Tilo Klinner.

The Association presented a video material on the current achievements and prospects for the development of the textile industry in Uzbekistan. Information was also provided on cooperation with German communities such as GIZ, GHERZI and also with the association of textile manufacturers Gesamtmasche. Information was provided on obtaining international certificates and export opportunities to Europe.

Dr. Thilo Klinner highly appreciated the trade and economic reforms being carried out in the Republic, in particular, the reforms in the textile sector. He also informed about the readiness to provide all-round assistance and support for the development of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation and to discuss the proposed issues with the country's leadership.

During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues of developing bilateral cooperation in certain areas of mutual interest, in particular:

- development of trade and investment cooperation, in particular, the creation of new investment projects on the territory of Uzbekistan with the attraction of capital from European companies;

- deepening cooperation in the field of education, incl. in the creation of the project "Fashion Incubator Tashkent" a business incubator in the field of fashion.

At the same time, the diplomat was also presented with an invitation to participate in a round table dedicated to the presentation of the concept of the Fashion Incubator Tashkent project, which will be held on 8 October at the Hilton hotel.
