Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the fifth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Geodetic and Cartographic Activities” was discussed.
It was noted that today the processes of socio-economic development require the improvement of the field of geodesy and cartography along with other areas, which meets modern requirements.
In the new edition of the Law, such aspects are taken into account. In particular, the concepts and principles, authorized state bodies are clearly defined, and the rules on state regulation of this sphere are also fixed.
At the same time, the Law enshrines the rules related to licensing, registration and maintaining state records of geodesy and cartography, maintaining the state cartographic and geodetic cadastre and the state cartographic and geodetic fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as state geodetic supervision.
The approval of this Law serves to increase the importance of geodetic and cartographic activities, in particular, it will raise the system to a new level with the use of satellites and the widespread adoption of digital technologies in the field.
In addition, the implementation of geodetic and cartographic activities ensures the completeness and reliability of materials and data. The important thing is that the transfer of materials will be simplified.
The exclusion of reference norms from the Law also creates favorable conditions for business entities to carry out geodetic and cartographic activities.
This law was approved by senators.
