Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An inauguration ceremony of the Uzbek-European Association for Economic Cooperation was held at the Embassy of our country in the Kingdom of Belgium, Dunyo reports.

The first deputy chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sadyk Safayev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, heads of leading European companies such as Shell, British Petroleum, Knorr-Bremse A.G., McDermott, Picanol, Technip FMC, APCO Worldwide, representatives of associations and chambers of commerce established between Uzbekistan and European countries took part in it. The event was also attended by official representatives of European Union organizations in Brussels, the European Investment Bank and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium.

During the ceremony, representatives of the European business community were told about the progress of large-scale reforms in our country and the creation of a favorable investment climate.

It was noted that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of relations with Europe, including from the point of view of economic cooperation.

During the event, participants were told about the investment potential and projects implemented in the republic. The presentation of new mechanisms of work and interaction within the framework of the European-Uzbek Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ) also took place.

Following the event, the parties agreed to deepen cooperation with the European business community to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation.
