Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) kept its forecast for GDP growth in Uzbekistan for 2018 and 2019. This was stated in October report “World Economic Outlook”.
According to the report, the growth of the economy of Uzbekistan in 2018 will be 5%. Uzbekistan’s GDP will grow by 5% in 2019.
The IMF report said that inflation in 2018 will be at the level of 19.2% and in 2019 - 14.9%.
The Fund’s experts predict that the current account balance of Uzbekistan in 2018 will be minus 0.5% of GDP. This figure will be minus 1.5% of GDP in 2019, the IMF report said.
