The fueling complex to be built at the airport of Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to build a modern refueling complex for servicing aircraft at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, taking into account the development of air transportation and the growth of aviation fuel consumption.

A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On Additional Measures to Improve the System for Providing Aviation Fuel for Civil Aviation Aircraft” has been published for discussion.

According to the draft document, the customer of the construction and further operation of a modern refueling complex will be Jizzakh Petroleum LLC.

It is expected that foreign direct investment will be attracted to the project.

The document notes that Jizzakh Petroleum will receive a part of the territory of the military camp No. 72 with a total area of 10 hectares in Sergeli district, where the “Central Fuel Base” is located.

Jizzakh Petroleum JV was established in June 2017 by Uzbekneftegaz and Gas Project Development Central Asia (a subsidiary of Gazprom International).

According to the draft resolution, the shares of participants in the authorized capital will be redistributed. The share of Uzbekneftegaz will decrease from 60% to 30%, and foreign partners will grow from 40% to 70%.
