The French Alliance is interested in expanding its activities in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov held a meeting with Regional Director for Central Asia of the French Alliance Mikael de la Fuente in Paris.

The parties discussed the issues of joint implementation of projects in the field of improving the education system and the quality of higher education in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties considered the opportunities for deepening cooperation on creation of the departments of the French language at the universities of Uzbekistan. The issues of increasing the number of specialized schools and teaching hours of the French language in educational institutions of Uzbekistan were also considered.

The parties also discussed the development of educational materials on the French language for educational institutions.

The parties expressed interest in intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation, including the establishment of the French Cultural Center in Tashkent.

It should be reminded that non-governmental non-profit organization "Tashkent French Alliance" was established in Uzbekistan in 2015 in accordance with the agreement between the Governments of Uzbekistan and France.
