Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first ventilator in the Republic of Uzbekistan was released in June 2020. Chirana +, a resident company of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, which is also part of the innovative technopark Yashnabad in Tashkent under the Chirana Asia brand, produces high-tech medical equipment.
“With the support and cooperation with the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as with the Association of Manufacturers of Medical Equipment, we have made every effort to accelerate the construction of a full-scale complex for the production of mechanical ventilation devices and anesthesia-respiratory devices. In August 2020, the plant was scheduled to be opened in the presence of top officials of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the start of production aimed at becoming strategically important for the entire Central Asian region, it is also planned to create a service and training center for seminars on the use of mechanical ventilation apparatuses and respiratory anesthesia on the basis of the plant apparatuses. The company invests more than US$8 million in unique production and will create about 100 jobs,” said Vasily Shimko, CEO of Chirana +.
By the end of the year, the plant will produce about 100 ventilation devices. In the future, production volumes will increase to 500 ventilators and 500 anesthesia-respiratory apparatus per year.
The products manufactured by the division will be sold in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
