Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 February, the Andijan State Exhibition hosted the grand opening of the Exhibition of Innovative Ideas in Andijan.

The event was organized by the Scientific and Practical Center for the Implementation of Innovation Developments under the Ministry of Innovation Development. The official opening ceremony of the event was attended by Minister of Innovation Development Ibrohim Abdurahmonov, hokim of the Andijan region Shukhrat Abdurahmonov, representatives of Gujarat (India).

The event is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India, in particular, the state of Gujarat.

The Minister of Innovation Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, speaking about the reason for holding the first regional exhibition of innovative ideas in Andijan, noted that while studying the president’s instructions on creating fruit and vegetable clusters, the working group witnessed that many ideas, innovations are in the hands of our common people, entrepreneurs and manufacturers. So the idea of organizing an exhibition arose.

- The exhibition was attended by over 50 entrepreneurs, foreign partners from Belarus, India, South Korea. Our main task is to establish cooperation between foreign partners with our scientists, implement research results of our students, undergraduates, and doctoral students. If the ideas of scientists are introduced into production by entrepreneurs, international cooperation will be established, innovations will appear. In each speech of the President of our country, he pays special attention to science and innovation, we all must work with great zeal and enthusiasm," Abdurakhmonov said.

Khokim of Andijan region Sh. Abdurakhmonov spoke about the creation of a pilot exhibition site at the Scientific and Practical Center for the Implementation of Innovation Developments under the Mininnovation in the Markhamat district of Andijan region and the beginning of construction work.

“The holding of the first regional innovation fair in Andijan indicates a special attitude to the scientific and practical potential of our region,” Abdurakhmonov said. - At the same time, there are enough problems in the republic awaiting an innovative solution. These are, in particular, such issues as storage of fruits and vegetables, modern processing technologies, increasing soil fertility, creating new industrial technologies. As a result of the event, I hope that new innovative technologies will be introduced into the agriculture of our region.
