The first meeting of the republican council on tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign trade was held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first meeting of the Republican Council on tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign trade was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade under the leadership of Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Council Sardor Umurzakov.

The meeting was attended by heads of ministries, departments, regulatory bodies and sectoral business associations.

The key topic of the meeting was the discussion of formed recommendations on changing the current policy of tariff and non-tariff regulation of trading activities.

During the discussion, the parties had the opportunity to work out the possibilities of optimizing the size of import duties on certain groups of goods, taking into account the current legislation and current production and foreign trade, put forward promising proposals and discuss issues on the agenda.

Following the meeting, the Council adopted appropriate decisions.
