The First Meeting of Joint Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Demarcation Commission

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 January 2020, Tashkent hosted the first meeting of the Joint Demarcation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The parties noted the high level of bilateral relations, which are supported by a strategic partnership.

Normative-legal and technical documents that will serve as foundation for further demarcation of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan state border were approved at the meeting. Meetings’ schedule for 2020 was also agreed.

Negotiations were held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. Corresponding protocol was signed following the meeting.
