The First International Exhibition “Uzbek Import Fair 2025” Opens in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khurram Teshabayev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, participated in the opening of the first international exhibition, Uzbek Import Fair 2025, held under the slogan “Optimizing Imports and Increasing Local Content.”

The event is organized by the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade in cooperation with the State Customs Committee and is taking place in Pavilions No. 3 and No. 4 of the national exhibition complex, Uzexpocenter.

Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev delivered a welcoming address, noting that the exhibition aims to deepen industrial cooperation, support domestic manufacturers, and promote import substitution projects.

The forum brings together more than five thousand entrepreneurs from all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as over thirty foreign companies from China, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Hungary, Slovakia, and other countries.

The exhibition serves as a platform to showcase products subject to localization and to promote new industrial initiatives. The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade has prepared 95 investment projects with a total value of 8.5 billion U.S. dollars, aimed at producing goods capable of replacing imports.

Uzbek Import Fair 2025 will run until October 9 and is expected to become a significant event for the country’s business and industrial sectors, fostering stronger connections between domestic and international companies.
