Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Export geography of Uzbek cherries is expanding. These days she has appeared in the largest fruit wholesale market of Shanghai (China) Shanghai Huizhan Fruit & Vegetable Market Management Co., Ltd.

On this occasion, the reception ceremony of the first ever export batch of sweet cherries with a volume of 30 tons from Uzbekistan was held here, the Dunyo news agency reported.

The supply is made from Ferghana region for the sale of fruit in Shanghai and the surrounding provinces: Zhejiang and Jiangsu. Along with representatives of the Consulate General of our country in Shanghai, the event was also attended by over two hundred people, including members of the Shanghai Customs Administration, businessmen and journalists.

A number of participants at this event shared their views on this event. General Manager of Zhejiang Fesna E-shop Co.Ltd Zhu Jianfeng said that Uzbek sweet cherry has a rich taste, and its packaging and calibration comply with international standards. This allows it to compete with global brands.

In this regard, I hope that the range of Uzbek fruits in China will only expand and soon we will receive melons, grapes, lemons, and other products.

t is worth noting that after the first test batch, the Chinese company plans to increase the volume of sweet cherry imports from Uzbekistan to 2,600 tons for sale at the site of the popular Chinese online store Tmall.
