The finalists of the contest "Tashabbus-2019" gathered in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- One of our timely and long-term efforts for a radical restructuring of our country’s economy, creating a new locomotive role in the short term, modernizing production and building a modern market infrastructure is full support and incentive for entrepreneurs.

Of course, the success of the Tashabbus review competition, traditionally held among entrepreneurs, farmers and artisans, is also remarkable.

The competition “Tashabbus” is different in that the Prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been held over the past 24 years, and the format of this competition has changed since 2018.

Competitions will be held in the following five main categories, and the winners of the republican qualifying stage will be awarded the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with “Chevrolet Spark” cars.

"The best entrepreneur of the year in the field of production";

"The best entrepreneur of the year in the service sector";

"Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year";

“The best farmer of the year;

"The best artisan of the year."

In addition, by decision of the republican organizing committee of the review competition, participants will participate in the following additional nominations:

"The best businesswoman";

"The best innovative project";

“An entrepreneur who creates more jobs for young people”;

"The best owner of a family business";

"Best Exporter";

"Best Product of the Year";

“My country is my pride”;

"The Most Responsible Social Partner";

"For the best presentation";

"The most exemplary taxpayer";

"Contribution to the development of the tourism industry."

The winners of these additional nominations will be awarded by the organizers of special prizes and a diploma of the organizing committee of the Tashabbus review competition.

The district (city) stages of the review competition were held from April 20 to May 15, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent from June 20 to June 12.

From all regions of the country, a total of 6,712 entrepreneurs (cities) took part in the main nominations determined by the procedure and their goods and services.

About 960 entrepreneurs, farmers and artisans from Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent took part in it.

About 69 entrepreneurs involved in this stage of the competition were able to participate in the republican stage and receive the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The republican stage involves 41 entrepreneurs, 14 artisans and 13 farmers.

The opening ceremony of the republican stage of the competition-contest was held in Pavilion 3 of the National Exhibition Center "Uzexpocenter" on June 20-21.

A number of ministries and departments, representatives of the administration of the city of Tashkent and the region, employees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the general public and the diplomatic corps took part in the opening ceremony.

The event was opened by the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov.

To stimulate interest in entrepreneurial activity, a visit of local residents to exhibition and competition fairs began.

At the exhibition, which was organized as part of the competition, entrepreneurs demonstrated their traditional industries, as well as the national traditions of farmers and artisans.
