Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Citizen Sh.R., arriving by the Moscow-Tashkent train, was placed for the quarantine after health check at Dout Ota Customs Post in Karakalpakstan.

On 21 March, he violated the quarantine rules and fled the hospital, endangering a population.

Sh.R., who had deliberately left quarantine, was detained in Shofirkon district of Bukhara region.

On this fact, on 21 March 2020, the Investigative Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan opened a criminal case in relation to Sh.R. under article 2571 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Violation of sanitary legislation or the rules for combating epidemics). The detainee is involved in a criminal case as a suspect.

Currently, the preliminary investigation in this criminal case has been taken under special control of the Investigation Department.
