The EU funds free webinars and consultations for the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The AGROCOMP project, implemented in our country by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of food and agricultural enterprises in Uzbekistan by improving value chains, sustainable development and eco-innovation.

The project is funded by the European Union, the CENTRAL ASIA INVEST IV program, coordinated by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan is implementing a project in three pilot regions: in Tashkent and the Tashkent region, in the cities of Namangan and Nukus (Karakalpakstan).

Right now, the Chamber of Commerce is conducting a business webinar marathon with leading experts.

Webinars have already started and will continue until the end of June this year, they are completely free and open, during online sessions, participants can actively ask questions of interest to them.

“AGROCOMP is a great chance for all local farmers and entrepreneurs. Thanks to partners from Europe and the support of our state, we were able to create an excellent opportunity to exchange experience with leading experts in the region and abroad,” says project manager Farrukh Omonov.

In addition, the project organizers separately focused on start-up entrepreneurs from rural areas who receive targeted support in the form of a series of services for professional psychological support and motivation, professional legal advice on a number of issues, as well as business training and advice on opening your own company and writing a business plan.

Moreover, 25 farms received professional support in developing a business plan providing loans.

During the implementation of the project, a Professional Network of Specialists was created to effectively support business in the Republic, promote the "green economy" and green financing, consulting on sustainable development and investment.

To implement this idea, more than 40 trained specialists were involved - representatives of partner organizations: state, public, private organizations, institutions and departments, financial institutions, including micro-lending, consulting services companies, professional associations, foundations.
