“The established scholarship in the amount of 400,000 soums can be reviewed,” - Ministry of Higher Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Agency of Information and Mass Communications consisted of a press conference with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Professional Education.

During the event, it was announced that a scholarship of 400,000 soums will be established for students and in contracts.

 “The new training system, which includes both a scholarship and its absence, will begin to operate in September,” said Sarvar Buzrukhonov. "For students studying on a budgetary basis with grades of 4 and 5, incentive bonuses of up to 50% of the scholarship will be allocated from the state budget."

In addition, additional payments of up to 50% (up to 200,000 soums) are provided, but already at the expense of the savings of universities.

Currently, there is still a system in which the size of the scholarship is diversified depending on the grades “3”, “4”, “5”.

According to the responsible persons, students studying under the grant will receive a grade for 3 semesters if they receive a grade of 3 for the total number of subjects studied (30%).

Sarvar Buzrukhonov added that, given public opinion, the established scholarship amount of 400 thousand sums can be revised.
