Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 February 2020, a video conference was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium dedicated to the Message of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Oliy Majlis with the participation of representatives of the Uzbek diaspora living in Benelux and Denmark.

The event was attended by compatriots working in international organizations (UN, World Bank, WHO and others), local companies, educational and research institutions, as well as students in universities.

Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov informed about the key areas of the Message, as well as the main tasks arising from the program document. Particular attention was paid to such issues as the development of science and the digital economy, the fight against poverty and the fundamental reform of the country's banking system.

The videoconference participants were also informed about the upcoming 5-6 March, the first Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Special attention was paid to the activities of the consular department of the diplomatic mission, as well as to the events organized by the Embassy in 2020.

During the videoconference, the consular and legal aspects of assisting compatriots were discussed, consultations were provided to citizens, in particular, information about changes and innovations in the passport system of Uzbekistan was brought.

In turn, compatriots expressed gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for special attention to their problems, protection of their rights and interests abroad and noted their readiness to actively participate in the implementation of state programs.
