Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to organize the management of the Aidar-Arnasai lake system” was adopted. 

The resolution approved the composition of the Republican working group on the effective use of the Aidar-Arnasay lake system, improving the environmental situation, ensuring a stable water level, water supply and reducing mineralization. The working group is tasked with:

annually in spring and autumn to study the ecological situation with the lake system on site and make proposals for the analysis and prevention of its negative consequences;

systematically monitor the implementation of this resolution and quarterly submit to the Cabinet of Ministers analytical information on the work done by the responsible ministries and departments.

The document determines that all buildings and hydraulic structures of the Arnasay reservoir in the system of the Ministry of Water Resources, as well as staff units, will remain unchanged in the Reservoir Administration of the Jizzakh region.

The resolution also approved:

"Roadmap" for the fundamental improvement of the use of the Aidar-Arnasay system of lakes;

List of material and technical means purchased to form the material and technical base of Aidar-Arnasay System of Lakes LLC.
