Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In connection with numerous media appeals, Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan informed that on 5 February 2020, another charter flight with compatriots located in the PRC will fly from the Beijing airport to Tashkent.

According to the information of the Embassy of our country in Beijing, a list of about 260 fellow citizens who would like to return to their homeland has been preliminary compiled.

The diplomatic mission established round-the-clock direct communication with more than 800 Uzbek students studying in various regions of the PRC. Outreach continues to be carried out on a regular basis, requested recommendations on security measures were systematically sent and sent, information on each stage of measures to export compatriots, and, if necessary, assistance was provided with the Chinese authorities in resolving various issues.

Earlier on 4 February, 250 citizens of Uzbekistan, who were placed under quarantine, were delivered by charter flight from Beijing airport to Tashkent.

The embassy, together with the authorities of the PRC, including Hubei Province, compiled a step-by-step plan for the evacuation of Uzbek citizens who were in the quarantine zone and implemented it.

From more than 20 points of this province, fellow citizens, mainly students of 14 universities, were delivered to the airport in Wuhan, and then on February 5 in the morning on a charter flight of Uzbekistan Airways JSC to Tashkent. Onboard there were 84 passengers, including 79 compatriots.

At the request of the Kazakh side, 5 citizens of Kazakhstan returned from China on board this aircraft. All of them are also placed in the quarantine period in specially trained medical institutions.
