The Digital Healthcare Center Unveils Innovations to Enhance Medical Efficiency

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yesterday, the Digital Healthcare Center under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan presented a series of innovative projects in the medical field aimed at improving the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

As Saida Mirzieyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, noted on her Telegram channel: “The unified DMED system now stores electronic medical records for 33 million citizens, easing the workload for doctors and freeing up time for patient interaction. A Situational Center has been created, which displays in real time the workload of medical staff and the status of equipment, allowing for efficient resource allocation.”

Particular attention, according to Mirzieyeva, deserves the “Ko‘ngil ko‘zi” project, which has been operating in the country for seven years. Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence technologies, retinopathy in premature infants can now be detected within the first days of life, preserving the vision of thousands of children. The new technologies are capable of preventing up to 90% of cases of childhood blindness.

In addition, the Center presented solutions for the early detection of strokes and breast cancer. “Artificial intelligence will not replace doctors, but it is becoming a reliable assistant, saving their time and effort,” emphasized Saida Mirzieyeva, wishing success to the implementation of these projects, which contribute to safeguarding the nation’s health.
