Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Council of Ulems of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan determined the amount of zakat for 2020.

According to the fatwa, the amount of zakat, the market price of gold is 250,000 soums per 1 gram. The sum of 1/40 of 85 grams of gold is 21,250 000 sum. Thus the sum of zakat set at 531,250 soums.

A Muslim who has an income of more than 21,250,000 soums a year, in addition to his basic expenses, is obliged to give 1/40 of his funds as a zakat to the poor and needy.
