Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A government resolution “On measures to improve the efficiency of water use in agriculture and compensation of water supply costs” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, reimbursement of expenses for water supply by water consumers will be carried out by adding to the amount of tax rates for the use of water resources.

The resolution approved a set of measures for water resources management, accounting and reporting of consumed water resources from water users and water consumers.

At the water facilities, digital technologies will be introduced that allow to control the use of water resources and electricity online.

In particular, 18 576 units will be installed on reservoirs and irrigation systems.

Also, the “online” mode of monitoring the use of electricity at 1,687 pumping stations is being introduced at the Ministry of Water Resources.

Until 1 December 2023, all the main places for water intake by water consumers will be fully equipped with water management and accounting tools.
