The Consul General of Uzbekistan and the Governor of Novosibirsk Region discuss prospects for inter-regional cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, Y. Kabuljanov, took part in a meeting of the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, A. Travnikov, with the heads of diplomatic institutions accredited in this region of the Russian Federation, Dunyo reported.

During the meeting, they talked about the further development of cooperation between the regions of the two countries, interaction in the socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. It was noted that in recent years, as part of interregional cooperation, more than 150 meetings have been organized in which representatives of Surkhandarya, Tashkent regions and other regions of Uzbekistan established partnerships with various structures of Novosibirsk. The exchange visits of delegations of the two countries took place.

In Novosibirsk Region, more than two dozen cultural and educational events were also held aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation and the development of friendly relations between the two peoples, especially young generations.

According to statistics, thanks to these events, interregional cooperation last year more than doubled compared to 2018.

The parties were unanimous in opinion that mutually beneficial cooperation this year will be further developed.
