The Center for Investment Coordination and Project Management opened in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 February 2019, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent City Khokimiyat and Uzpromstroybank jointly launched a Center for Coordination of Investment Activity and Project Management.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a visit to the districts of Tashkent on 21 December 2018, set the task of opening the Investment Center.
In order to ensure the execution of this order, on 23 January 2019, the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the Road Map, aimed at accelerating the investment activities of commercial banks in 2019.
The organization in commercial banks of the centers of coordination of investment activities and project management is one of the priority tasks outlined in the Road Map.
In accordance with this, on 22 February 2019, an opening ceremony of the Center for the Coordination of Investment Activity and Project Management was held.
The main task of the Center is to promote investment activities and finance projects of domestic entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
In the center, services are provided on the basis of the “one-stop-shop” principle, which will contribute to the development of business plans, feasibility studies, identification of mechanisms and sources of financing.
The main tasks of the Investment Coordination and Project Management Center also include assisting foreign investors in their selection of the most suitable, eligible projects and direct investment.
In short, this center will serve as a “credit supermarket” for entrepreneurs and foreign investors.
