The CCI hosts a meeting of representatives of the restaurant business and the State Inspectorate for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 June 2020, in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the assistance of the Academy of Restaurant Business and its leader Timur Abdullayev, a meeting was held in which independent journalist Nelli Karimova and entrepreneurs operating in the field of restaurant business represented by Alina Zimerman, Managing Partner of the Chaikof network, Marina Ten, director of Aiko Green LLC, founder of the Kimchi Plate cafe with senior officials of the State Inspectorate for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On the agenda was the issue of clarification of the norms and rules of carrying out their activities in compliance with quarantine measures. This was reported by the CCI press service.

The parties discussed issues of concern to them, as well as business representatives with the support of the CCI provided their suggestions on the topic under discussion - to create a working group together with the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and an initiative group of restaurateurs for public control over strict observance of inspection rules in the manner of notification, review of the regulatory framework for the regulation of the restaurant business and catering outlets, transparency and fairness in the collection of fees and fines in the industry.

Given the large number of issues that were discussed during the negotiations, it was proposed to create a working group which would include representatives of business, the State Inspectorate, the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being, and the Chamber of Commerce.

As a result, the parties agreed to organize an extended meeting at the site of the State Inspectorate of Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision together with the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being.
