Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The unity of the Uzbek people is especially evident in overcoming the difficulties that our country has been facing lately. The emergency situation on the Sardoba reservoir in Syrdarya region once again demonstrated the unity of our people.

The Ministry of Innovative Development created an operational headquarters and announced a charity event under the slogan "Help Syrdarya."

Voluntary donations in the amount of 53.2 million soums were collected on a special account. On 3 May, the first “caravan” with humanitarian aid set off for Syrdarya, which included 3.8 thousand kg of various food products, 3,500 items of clothing and 1,300 items of hygiene and cleaning products. They were delivered to a centralized warehouse in Gulistan with the participation of ministry officials and members of the public.

On the recommendation of the Syrdarya regional khokimiyat, household appliances were purchased based on the needs of citizens. And on 16 May, another caravan, headed by the Minister of Innovation Development, went to Syrdarya region with gifts containing household appliances - televisions, mini stoves and new clothes for our compatriots who found themselves in difficult conditions.

The staff of the ministry, employees of its subordinate organizations, members of the Scientific and Technical Councils under the Ministry, young start-ups, members of the Youth Academy at the Mininovation, and residents of the innovative technology park "Yashnobod" have contributed to this noble cause.
