The business forum with the participation of business circles of Saudi Arabia takes place in Namangan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 September, a meeting with a delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

This delegation is led by the head of the Main Investment Department of Saudi Arabia Badir Muhammad Almufgay, which includes the heads of more than ten large companies such as Ajlan & Bros Holding Group, Awad Group, ELM, Al Shanawani, Gulf Pioneers ”, as well as senior officials from the ministries of finance, trade and investment, environment and water, agriculture, Saudi Arabia, arrived in Namangan.

On the first day of the visit, members of the delegation visited a number of regional agricultural enterprises, light industry and services, got acquainted with their economic potential, conditions and opportunities for foreign investors.

The main events of the forum were held in the Palace of Culture of the Turakurgan region. Before the event, guests got acquainted with the organized exhibition of industrial and agricultural products "Made in Namangan", talked with local entrepreneurs.

Khokim of the region Kh. Bozorov presented to foreign guests detailed information on the nature and significance of the reforms being carried out in the country, the attractive environment created for foreign investors, the successes of the region in attracting foreign investment and economic resources.

“The achieved successes are indicative of the created favorable investment environment,” said H. Bozorov. - In 2017, US$7 million of foreign investments was attracted to the region, last year this indicator amounted to US$74 million, during the 9 months of this year - more than US$200 million. Recently, dozens of large-scale projects have been implemented as a whole due to 1 billion 100 million dollars of foreign investment.

 “This forum is a vivid manifestation of the open economic policy of Uzbekistan,” said Badir Muhammad Almufgay, head of the Saudi Arabian Main Investment Directorate. - We hope that we will sign many mutually beneficial agreements, and are convinced of the expansion of trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.

Within the framework of the forum, business circles of Namangan region and Saudi Arabia held B2B and B2G meetings, which resulted in the signing of a number of investment agreements and agreements with Arab entrepreneurs.
