Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 October, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to analyze work on industrial development, production and regular supply of oil and gas products to consumers, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz said.

At this meeting, the head of our state emphasized the need to pay special attention to increasing production and processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, uninterrupted supply of fuel to economic sectors, the population and exports, and reducing technological costs and losses. Necessary instructions were also given.

On 28 October 2019, a meeting was held in the building of Uzbekneftegaz in the city of Karshi under the leadership of an adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Energy Alisher Sultanov in order to ensure the implementation of these orders on the ground.

At a meeting with the participation of system managers, the state of fulfillment of forecast indicators for the production of petroleum products, natural and liquefied gas and their supply to sectors of the economy and the population was analyzed.

Following the meeting, appropriate measures were identified on the issues discussed.

For untimely ensuring the fulfillment of the tasks defined in the plan, the head of the Mubarek oil and gas department B. Narziev was relieved of his post. The head of the hydrocarbon production department, R. Sherov, has been appointed to this position.

On the part of JSC Uzbekneftegaz, the head of the Gazli Oil and Gas Department K. Amonov was instructed to increase production by the end of the year.
