The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia spoke about the transformations in the country to TV Alhijrah

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuala Lumpur Ravshan Usmanov gave an interview in the evening news release of the leading Malaysian TV channel TV AlHijrah, Dunyo reported.

A video clip dedicated to the tourism potential of our country was also shown on the air.

TV channel AlHijrah is owned by the largest Malaysian national media holding Alhijrah Media Corporation. It is broadcast in HD format throughout Malaysia, its audience is 5 million, and the number of online subscribers is 10 million.

In an interview with the channel, the head of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan spoke about the state and prospects of relations between the two countries in the socio-political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The ambassador also dwelt on the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in all areas of government and socio-economic development, including relations between government agencies and media representatives, as well as favorable conditions for foreign investors and tourists.

Ravshan Usmanov spoke about the firm commitment of the country's leadership to carry out consistent reforms in all spheres of people's lives, focused on the broad support of the people.

The video talked about the increase in the number of Malaysian tourists visiting our country. In particular, in January-November 2019, this figure almost doubled compared to the same period last year.

The ambassador noted that Uzbekistan, along with Malaysia, was among the ten most attractive countries among the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation according to the Global Muslim Travel Index 2019 and for Muslim female travelers Muslim Women in Travel 2019. Uzbekistan also ranks fifth in the safest countries in the world in the Global Law and Order ranking and for single travelers according to Wegoplace, an online travel service.

The host of the program acquainted the viewers with the cultural, historical and architectural heritage of Uzbekistan, the sights of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, as well as the heritage of the great scientists and thinkers of our country, like Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Imam Fargani, Maturidi, Bahauddin Naqshbandi, who made an exceptional contribution to the development and the development of human civilization.

Along with this, the Malaysian media spoke about ongoing transformations in the field of tourism in Uzbekistan. In particular, the abolition of the visa regime for citizens of 65 countries and the maintenance of a visa-free regime from 1 January 2020 for 86 states, as well as the construction of new modern hotels, the development and improvement of infrastructure to create all necessary conditions and amenities for foreign tourists.
