Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 June 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks in the form of video conference with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic Andrea Bertozzi, completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Italian relations were examined, including an exchange of views on the schedule of upcoming contacts at the highest and highest levels.

It was noted that the parties attach key importance to the development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation. In this context, the importance of implementing the agreements reached within the framework of the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Group in Rome on May 6, 2019 was emphasized.

The proposals on enhancing cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian and educational fields were also considered.

At the end of the conversation, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the development of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy.

The ambassador thanked for supporting his activities as head of the Italian diplomatic mission in Tashkent.
