Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A presidential decree "On measures to radically improve the quarantine and plant protection system in the country" was adopted.

By the decree, the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection was created on the basis of the State Plant Quarantine Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Uzagrokimehimoya and territorial JSC "Agrokimehimoya" were liquidated in line with the document.

The President abolished the State Commission for Testing and Registration of Chemicals and Plant Protection Products.

Until 31 December 2024, the State Fund for the Support of Entrepreneurship will compensate:

- part of the expenses on interest payments exceeding the basic rate of the Central Bank, but not more than 7 percentage points, on loans allocated in national currency, in the amount of not more than 10 billion soums with an interest rate not exceeding 1.75 times the size of the basic rate of the Central Bank bank;

- up to 30 percent of the interest rate set by commercial banks in the amount not exceeding three percentage points, on loans of commercial banks allocated in foreign currency, not exceeding the equivalent of 10 billion soums;

- The State Fund for the Support of Entrepreneurship will provide guarantees of up to 50 percent of the allocated loan security in an amount not exceeding 10 billion soums.
