The 47th session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways to be held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 47th session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways will be held on 4-7 June in Tashkent.

The 47th session will be attended by the heads of the Ministries of Transport and Railway Administrations of the 27 member states of the international organization, in particular: Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Slovakia, Romania, Russia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, Mongolia, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Azerbaijan , Afghanistan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the DPRK, South Korea.

The event will also be attended by representatives of a number of reputable international organizations, such as the Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail, the International Transport Forum under the OECD, the Committee for International Rail Transport, the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the heads of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC Uzbekistan Temir Yollari. At the session, the meeting participants will be provided with information on the activities of OSZhD in 2018, and on the work of the commission of the Organization for Transport Policy and Development Strategy.

A plan of planned projects for 2020 will also be developed. Within three days, negotiations will be held on the current state of interstate transportation, implementation of large joint projects, attraction of new innovative technologies to the sphere of technology, tariff policy and introduction of new transit corridors.

During the event, official meetings of transport ministers and heads of railways of OSJD member states will also be held.
