Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9-14 September, Tashkent will host a grandiose event in the textile and sewing-knitting industry. Uzexpocenter will host the event “GLOBAL TEXTILE DAYS IN TASHKENT”.
The rich program of the Days of the Textile Industry will consist of international seminars, conferences, an exhibition of textiles and textile technologies, a display of industrial clothing collections of domestic enterprises and international brands from Turkey, Korea.
In addition, business tours will be organized as part of the six-day event. Ceremonies of the opening of new industries in a number of regions of Uzbekistan will be held.
It is expected that over 400 representatives of business circles and textile experts from 40 countries will take part in the large-scale event.
Days of the textile industry will be opened by the “8th meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network” of the International Cotton Advisory Committee. Scientists and experts from the USA, India, Pakistan, China and other countries will take part in the three-day seminar, which will be held on 9-11 September.
On 10 September, the International Textile Conference of Uzbekistan will be held under the auspices of the International Federation of Textile Manufacturers ITMF. If in 2018 over 300 participants from 12 countries took part in the conference, then this year the number of participants increased to 400. The event’s geography expanded to 36 countries.
Theme of the conference is "Digitalization of the textile industry - the creation of textiles of the future."
On 11-13 September, the International Textile and Fashion Industry Exhibition "UzTextile Expo - 2019" and the "Tashkent Exhibition of Textile Technologies" will be held. It will occupy the entire exhibition area of Uzexpocenter (four pavilions, over 12 thousand square meters). Exhibitors and visitors to the exhibition will be leading manufacturers and designers of textile products in Uzbekistan, representatives of foreign textile associations and industry associations, companies from related industries. At the Tashkent Exhibition of Textile Engineering (TTME), the world’s leading manufacturers of technological equipment for textile production - from yarn to finished products will be presented.
On 12 September, a display of industrial clothing collections of domestic enterprises and international brands from Turkey and Korea will be organized. The show will be attended by 300 foreign companies from 39 countries, including for the first time delegations of partner organizations from Russia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Iran, Germany, and Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the Days of the textile industry, business tours, the opening of new industries in the regions will be held on 13-14 September.
This is, first of all, the opening ceremony of the “Uzbek-Korean textile Technopark” at the expense of a grant of the Government of the Republic of Korea in the amount of US$20 million.
There will also be organized business tours (Production Opening Tour), during which foreign participants will be able to get acquainted with new projects implemented in the regions of the country and take part in the opening ceremonies of enterprises in Andijan region (“Tillo Wool Tekstil”, “Al-Hakim Textile” ), in the Bukhara region (cotton-textile cluster “BTC Claster”), in Tashkent region (dyeing production “Uzteks Group”, cotton-textile cluster “Chinoz Textile”), in Jizzakh region (“Arnasoy Gold Tekstil”, “Paxtakor Gold Teks ”), in Samarkand region (“ Samarqand Euro Asia Textile ”).
The goal of “GLOBAL TEXTILE DAYS IN TASHKENT” is to demonstrate the achievements of the textile industry of Uzbekistan, wide integration of domestic production enterprises, scientific and educational institutions in the field of textile production into the global textile community, development of business cooperation with world manufacturers and research centers, implementation of innovative approaches in the development of the industry in the country.
The organizers of the Textile Industry Days in Tashkent are the Association "Uztekstilprom", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MIVT, the Ministry of Agriculture, Mininnovations and international partners.
