Textile Factory in Kushtipa District to Begin Production for H&M
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A modern textile factory, Innovative Apparel LLC, has officially opened in Kushtipa District of Ferghana region.
The factory was established in collaboration with Sri Lanka, with total foreign direct investment reaching US$15 million. The company’s products will be exported to Iran, the UAE, Thailand, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
At the opening ceremony, the regional hokim, Khairullo Bozorov, congratulated attendees on Independence Day and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship for the region’s economic development. He noted that the establishment of a world-class modern enterprise in Kushtipa District is a significant milestone, capable of transforming the local economy and creating new jobs. Special gratitude was expressed to entrepreneur Muzaffar Razzakov for his contribution to the project.
Currently, the factory employs over 500 women and girls, and at full production capacity, the workforce is expected to reach 3,500 employees. Specialists from Sri Lanka are also being actively involved. The enterprise’s export potential is particularly noteworthy, projected at USD 30 million.
A major achievement includes securing contracts with companies under the H&M brand and beginning fulfillment of the first orders.
Company representative Muzaffar Razzakov emphasized that the factory’s development will be accompanied by the establishment of training centers and medical facilities for employees.
Guests had the opportunity to observe the production process and finished products, noting the high level of organization at the enterprise.
