Textile company moves to a cluster system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Art Soft TexGroup’s enterprise in the city of Namangan.

The plant produces towels, bathrobes, bedspreads and other products. It is supplied to the domestic market, as well as to Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldova and neighboring countries. Last year, products were produced for 290 billion soums, goods were exported for 9.4 million dollars. This year it is planned to expand exports three times.

The enterprise has one shop in Namangan, Rishtan and Yangikurgan districts. They employ over 2 thousand people. Soon with the commissioning of the shop for the production of finished textiles will be created about a thousand more jobs.

Art Soft TexGroup expands its activities and moves to a cluster system. The company allocated land in Mingbulak and Papal districts, purchased agricultural equipment.

The head of state asked about the future plans of the enterprise. Projects for the organization in its structure of enterprises for the processing of cotton, seed harvesting, grain processing, the production of feed, greenhouses and livestock farms were approved.

It also presents projects for development of poultry farming, fish farming, animal husbandry, beekeeping, rabbit breeding, intensive horticulture in the region, implementation of irrigation and land reclamation work, and the introduction of innovations into the land management and cadastre system.

The President noted the need to improve the economic efficiency of projects, their early launch and provide the population with work.
