Temporary Traffic Restrictions Introduced Near Mosques in Tashkent During Ramadan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting today, temporary traffic restrictions are being implemented on streets adjacent to mosques in Tashkent where Tarawih prayers are performed, the city police department announced.

The restrictions will be in effect daily from 18:00 to 00:00 throughout the Ramadan period.

In Mirzo-Ulugbek district, traffic will be limited near the Tepa Mosque, from Durmon Yuli Street to Olimlar Street.

In Bektemir district, the restrictions will apply around the Alibek Mosque, from M. Avezov Street to Kh. Boykaro Street.

Yashnabad district will see restrictions near the Islamota Mosque (from the secondary road off Fargona Yuli Street to Zarkent and Obishir Streets) and the Ali ibn Abu Talib Mosque (from Chulpon Street to Saloheyat Street).

In Mirabad district, traffic will be limited near the Valikhuja ogli Norhuja and Kuyluk Ota mosques, and in Sergeli district near the Maaruf Ota and Nugai Kurgon mosques.

Yakkasaray district restrictions will cover streets near the Usmon bin Ma’zum, Yakkasaray, and Rakat mosques, while Yangihayot district will include areas around the Niyozmat Ota Mosque.

In Shaykhantakhur district, the affected areas are near the Shaykh Zayniddin (Kukcha) and Kamolon mosques. In Almazar district, restrictions apply near the Hazrati Imam, Islamobod, and Dustjonboy (Sulola) mosques.

Yunusabad district includes streets near the Mirza Yusuf Mosque; Uchtepa district covers the Abdulloh ibn Mas’ud (Katta Kani) and Hazrati Ali mosques; and Chilanzar district includes the Novza, Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf, and Ubay ibn Ka’f (Burijar) mosques.

On all designated streets, vehicle access will be allowed only for emergency and official service vehicles.

These measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of worshippers and providing a comfortable environment for nighttime prayers during Ramadan.
