Teaching quality to be rates at Uzbek universities
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the State Testing Center of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved a joint regulation, which envisages this measure, Pravda Vostoka reported.
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the State Testing Center, Main scientific-methodical center for organization of training and improving skills of pedagogic and heads of cadres of higher education, Center for development of higher and secondary special, professional education and universities will conduct monitoring.
The main goal of the monitoring is to determine training and improving skills of teachers to quality of education, develop recommendations and proposals to improve education process and curriculum. The monitoring will determine factors, which impact education process, and analyze activities of teachers.
The monitoring will be conducted once a year in selected universities. Five students of each teacher, which underwent re-training in past six months, will participate in tests.
The monitoring will also analyze ratings of academic groups and conduct poll on quality of teaching, skills of teachers, his potential, experience, etc. Based on this, the rating of teachers will be determined on 100 point scale.
Works of teachers, who received less than 56 points, will be rated as ineffective. This will impact rating of the re-training institution.
