Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 August, a video circulated on social media showing teachers engaged in repairing a school. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has issued an official statement regarding the incident.

It was established that the events took place at Secondary School No. 42 in the Markhamat district of Andijan region. The footage shows teachers painting walls, moving desks, and even preparing food.

The ministry explained that the recording was made during a summer community clean-up day, and the video was later shared in teachers’ chat groups “as an example” for those who refused to participate.

The ministry noted that an internal investigation has been launched into the incident, and the actions of those responsible will be given a legal assessment.
