TBI and Agency for Strategic Reforms to Assist in Developing Long-Term Pharmaceutical Industry Strategy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a series of online discussions with specialists from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) and representatives of the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
During the meetings, the parties discussed measures and priorities outlined in the long-term strategy for the development of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as specific steps for its implementation.
Particular attention was given to the initiative for the phased establishment of the Uzbekistan Food and Drug Administration (UzFDA). The participants examined in detail the creation of the necessary legal and organizational framework for launching the new structure.
The discussions also covered the inventory and systematization of existing legislation and regulations in the pharmaceutical sector, aimed at improving regulatory efficiency and aligning the legal framework with international standards.
