TBC Uzbekistan posts 93 billion soums profit in Q1 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Digital ecosystem TBC Uzbekistan closed the first quarter of 2026 with a net profit of 93 billion soums and total operating income of 700 billion soums, recording strong growth across key business segments, from retail lending to SaaS solutions for entrepreneurs.
The ecosystem, which combines TBC Bank, the payme payment service, the TBC BNPL installment service, the TBC Sug'urta digital insurance platform, and the BILLZ retail SaaS solution, reached 24.2 million registered users as of March 31, 2026, up 23% year-on-year. Monthly active users stood at 5.8 million.
Total payments processed through the ecosystem’s platforms increased by 31.1% year-on-year to 31.8 trillion soums. The deposit portfolio grew by 24.3% to 7.1 trillion soums, while the loan portfolio rose by 3.4% to 10.4 trillion soums.
Among retail products, the flagship TBC Salom debit card showed notable growth: more than 1 million cards were issued during the quarter, five times higher than the 230,000 recorded a year earlier. Balances on these cards account for around 4% of the total deposit portfolio. The TBC Osmon credit card is also gaining traction, with 183,000 cards issued and balances representing 9% of the total loan portfolio. The company positions itself among the leaders of Uzbekistan’s emerging credit card market, which it expects to grow rapidly as adoption expands.
Subscription packages available in the TBC Bank and payme apps attracted 1.1 million users, a sevenfold increase year-on-year. The TBC BNPL installment service reached 190,000 active users. The deferred payment feature was integrated into the payme app and payme travel section, doubling bookings and ticket sales through this channel compared to Q1 2025. The company is also preparing to launch instant auto lending approval within one minute, with pilot agreements already signed with manufacturers, dealers, and distributors.
The TBC Biznes segment recorded 67,000 registered clients, of which 21,000 are active. Total loans issued to SMEs and self-employed entrepreneurs exceeded 185,000, accounting for 18% of the overall loan portfolio. A new TBC Biznes app was launched, along with a multi-tier subscription service, while the maximum loan amount for entrepreneurs was increased to 600 million soums.
The BILLZ SaaS platform processed more than 11 million transactions worth 5.8 trillion soums in Q1. By the end of March, it had over 4,000 registered business clients and more than 6,000 active retail points. A lighter mobile version, BILLZ lite, was launched to target micro and small businesses.
In technology, the company completed the rollout of its AI assistant Lola across its entire user base after pilot testing in late 2025. In April 2026, the assistant received a Global Finance award for best fintech innovation in the Asia-Pacific region. Other developments included the introduction of QR payments in the TBC Bank app using MSQR and CSQR formats and the integration of payme into the bank’s partner network, giving TBC Bank users access to more than 20,000 merchant locations.
“The past quarter was marked by key achievements that lay the foundation for the next stage of our ecosystem’s growth as a leading unified platform for consumers and entrepreneurs in the region,” said TBC Uzbekistan CEO Nika Kurdiani. She noted that flagship card products are rapidly expanding their user base, the business segment is delivering strong results, and the AI assistant Lola is expected to evolve into a full personal assistant connecting corporate and retail clients within a unified ecosystem.
