According to the State Tax Committee, total cost of the seized sugar makes up over 247.7 million soums.
Tax bodies revealed violations at 87 trade points in the first six months of 2014, where the sugar was realized at high prices. In another 38 cases, the individuals were selling sugar without any permissions.
The committee said that some 2.2 tonnes of sugar was confiscated at Tashkent’s Urikzor market. The seller was realizing sugar at the price for 5,500 soums per a kilo. The seller could not provide necessary documents, which would permit to sell sugar.
