Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will make a working trip to Tashkent on Monday, on 25 November, where the Tatarstan-Uzbekistan forum will open. This was announced by the official representative of the Kazan Kremlin Liliya Galimova at a briefing in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“The forum will focus on expanding cooperation in such areas as the supply of helicopters, automobile tires, agricultural equipment, petroleum products, household chemicals, and halal products to Uzbekistan. The issue of participation of our companies in the construction and modernization of electric and hydropower facilities will be considered,” said Galimova.

“Tatarstan is interested in deliveries from Uzbekistan of light industry and agricultural products,” she added.

After the forum, Minnikhanov intends to meet with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov. During the meeting, issues of building an industrial park in the Tashkent region with the participation of Khimgrad and modernization of the healthcare system of Uzbekistan with the participation of Eidos-Medicine company will be touched upon. It is planned to sign an agreement between Tatneft and the rubber products factory Uzbekneftegaz.

Minnikhanov’s two-day working visit to Uzbekistan will begin on Monday, on 25 November.
