Tashkent’s economy posts 11.6% growth in 2015

According to the administration, the volume of industrial good production rose by 16.8%, consumer goods – 16.9%, retail trade turnover – 17%, services – 16.7% and construction works – 9.9%.

Some 6,881 new small businesses were created in Tashkent in 2015. In the result, their total number reached 45,490 units.

Share of small business in the gross regional product of Tashkent city reached 57%, industrial production – 71.2%, services – 52.8%, exports – 92.7% and employment – 57.6%.

It is expected that the growth of the gross regional product of Tashkent will make up 10.5% in 2016, industrial production – 13%, consumer goods – 12%, retail trade turnover – 14%, services – 16.5% and construction works – 9.4%.
