Tashkent to Temporarily Limit Water Supply During Maintenance

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The joint-stock company "Toshkent shahar suv ta’minoti" has informed city residents about temporary restrictions in cold water supply and reduced water pressure in distribution networks due to scheduled maintenance work and preparations of the engineering infrastructure for the spring-summer period of 2026.

The restrictions will be implemented in phases across various districts from March 30 to May 12.

According to the schedule, water outages and pressure reductions will affect neighborhoods and residential areas in Uchtepa, Shayhantahur, Yashnabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Sergeli, Yakkasaray, Chilanzar, Almazar, Yunusabad, Bektemir, Yangihayot, and Mirabad districts.

Specifically, in the initial days:

30 – 31 March: certain neighborhoods in Uchtepa and Shayhantahur districts will be temporarily without water;

31 March – 1 April: Yashnabad and Mirzo-Ulugbek districts will experience outages and pressure drops in some quarters;

1 – 3 April: Yakkasaray, Chilanzar, and Sergeli districts will face water interruptions;

2 – 3 April: Almazar district will undergo similar restrictions.

The most extensive work is scheduled for 6–8 April, affecting a significant number of neighborhoods and social facilities in Mirzo-Ulugbek, Yashnabad, Bektemir, Sergeli, Yangihayot, and Mirabad districts.

In the following days, phased outages will continue in Yunusabad, Chilanzar, Almazar, and other districts, including selected residential areas, educational institutions, medical facilities, and social service organizations.

The completion of maintenance and full restoration of stable water supply is expected by mid-May.

The company urged residents to be understanding of the temporary inconvenience and to take measures in advance to secure water reserves. The measures aim to enhance the reliability of the water supply system, reduce emergencies, and ensure stable operation during peak demand periods.
