Tashkent to Temporarily Close Central Streets for Military Parade

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 November, in honor of the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the national flag, demonstration marches by units of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard will take place in Tashkent, the Ministry of Defense press service reported.

The parade will begin at 15:00 from the Victory Park Memorial Complex and follow this route: Victory Park Memorial Complex (Sagban and Zarkaynar streets) — Museum of Nature — Chorsu Market — Tashkent Circus (Zarkaynar Street) — Palace of Arts “Friendship of Peoples” (Uzbekistan and Furkat Streets). At the square near the palace, a military band performance and demonstrations of drill and combat training will take place.

Due to the parade, from 15:00 to 17:00, vehicle traffic will be temporarily restricted on the following sections: Sagban Street — from Karakamysh Street to MKAD, Sagban Street — from MKAD to Nurafshon Street, Sagban Street — from Nurafshon Street to Farabi Street, Zarkaynar Street — from Sagban Street to Alisher Navoi Street, Furkat Street — from Zarkaynar Street to Islam Karimov Street and from Islam Karimov Street to Beshagach Street.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and use alternative roads.
