Tashkent to Host FinCore Asia Forum on AI in Banking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 April, the FinCore Asia Forum will take place at the U-enter Innovation Center in Tashkent, focusing on the transformation of core banking systems through artificial intelligence, the development of digital currencies, and the creation of financial ecosystems. The event is organized by FINNEXT Global.

The forum program is divided into three thematic blocks, covering key areas of banking IT architecture evolution: transition to financial platforms, AI transformation, and emerging payment technologies.

The panel “From Fragmented Architecture to Financial Platforms: Gains and Risks” will examine the impact of platformization on the banking landscape, compare technological and business effects of platform solutions versus traditional systems, and identify risks associated with transitioning to service-oriented architecture. Emphasis will be placed on platform advantages for AI integration and building proprietary financial ecosystems.

The session “Digital Platform as the New Paradigm for Core Banking and Bank Architecture” will explore banking architecture transformation in terms of technological and organizational maturity, methods for accelerated ecosystem development via financial platforms, and key risks when moving from classical core banking systems.

The second panel, “AI Transformation: From Pilot Projects to an AI-Core Bank”, will address AI implementation strategies, requirements for adopting an AI-native model, and risk mitigation when scaling experimental projects to fully integrated systems.

The final session will cover prospective technologies and the future architecture of payments, including the role of digital currencies, cryptocurrencies, and stablecoins. Experts will discuss the design of core banking systems for effective use of new payment instruments, ecosystem interaction scenarios between banks, microfinance organizations, and marketplaces, as well as platform scaling principles and counter-ecosystem models.
