Tashkent to construct new transport ring
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Tashkent started construction of new transport ring, which should significantly decrease load of central part of the city, main highways and crossroads, the Governor of Tashkent Rakhmanbek Usmanov said.
Third ring toad will be constructed by September 2016. Highways in Nurafshon street at the part from Beruni street to Rashidov street will be used to construction of the ring road.
Builders will construct 3.8 km road in the part from Beruni road to Aqtepa square with use of current streets Chigatay Darbaza, Umarov and Esenin streets.
Rakhmanbek Usmanov underlined that this will allow to increase intensity of transport movement to Aqtepa square up to 4,000 cars an hour.
He said that Nukus street will be constructed as well – from Shota Rustaveli to Babur street. The length of the road is 1 km.
Administration of Tashkent city will also modernize several roads and streets in the city.
