Tashkent Tests New Technology to Reduce Dust and Improve Air Quality

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tashkent city administration is adopting international practices in urban environmental management and gradually implementing modern technologies to combat dust pollution, officials said Monday.

As part of these efforts, the city has begun testing a dispersion system that sprays fine water particles over large areas. The technology is designed to reduce airborne dust and improve environmental conditions in densely populated neighborhoods.

The first site for the installation is the Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 1 in the Takhtapul area of Shaykhantakhur district.

Officials said the initiative aims to protect public health—particularly that of children—and enhance the effectiveness of air quality measures across the capital.
